Be a Blessing to Someone Else!

The holidays have a tendency to focus heavily on the material things in life....money and gifts. However, we forget that the holidays, and life in general is more than just the tangible things you have and can give. Life is about being able to lend a helping hand or be a blessing to someone else who may be struggling or feels hopeless. Life isn't about what somebody can do for you, but sometimes, what you can do for them.....maybe that might be helping them with food, clothes, or an electric/gas bill. Or maybe it might be the intangible, encouraging them to fight and not give up, affirming their potential to succeed in life. Many of us have faced challenging battles in life, or have had hopeless moments. We either encountered somebody who helped revitalize our faith and ability to hope and believe or tapped into an inner strength that had been hidden and pulled ourselves back to life. What would life be like if we only helped ourselves.....it would a lonely, cold meaningless life. Sometimes the best gift that keeps giving, is the gift to speak life into somebody else and reawaken their hope and faith. "You have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you." Be a Blessing.....BLife

Throughout college, I was always nervous and scared to explore other areas of interest outside of what my friends and family expected of me...school. That was partially my fault because I allowed my fears of what other people would say stop me from exploring and developing my other passions. However, at the beginning of the 2009 year, I decided that I was going to pursue my other dreams and not be deterred by what I think my friends and family might say. Rather than assuming they would say negative things, I was determined to live my life and if they like my work, then GREAT, if not GREAT lol.

So January 2009 marked the beginning of BLife. BLife isn't simply a T-shirt label, but a way of life. My T-shirts represent aspects of life that give us either temporary or continuous happiness & fulfillment. The concepts have always been there, but now I am actually designing my ideas. This, by far, has been a difficult, but exciting challenge in creating captivating designs that young ladies would wear. Simply put, an every day T-shirt with meaningful representations about life. I hope the concepts of my shirts inspire individual happiness, while offering a simple yet fashionable look. I get excited everyday as I work on my designs and explore areas in life that are fulfilling. I luv life and I'm determined to BLife! So I'm confident in the potential of BLife and prepared for the hard work and the highs and lows that will come with starting a new venture.

What makes life meaningful for you? Is it the clothes you wear, music you listen to, family & friends? Some would say that life is a combination of these elements, which is somewhat true. However, I think it’s possible to have all these elements and you still find yourself unhappy, with an indescribable void.

This is the very reason why I created this blog. It’s a journey to find and pinpoint the things in life that give us peace and contentment in our individual lives. I truly believe, that there is no greater feeling than when you are at peace because you have found the one thing, or more, that gives you an unwavering happiness and fills all your voids even when you’re going through a storm! Join me as I unpack different elements of life, determining the level of satisfaction and contentment we gain as individuals. BLife represents passion, boldness, faith, strength, creativity, love; the things that make YOU happy!
